CHATSWORTH ROAD
WESTMINSTER
Chatsworth Road was a challenging new-build development on a vacant landlocked site, previously a secure car parking area. The new building extends a piece of the high street borrowing the characteristics of the neighbouring plots to nestle sympathetically with the existing context.
The neighbouring corner site fronting the main road was designed as a Public House, now a restaurant and offers a generous ground floor level with tall windows and fanlights.
The design responds to and remains slightly subservient to this corner site, and forms a neat infill development and transition between the articulate Victorian Corner Building dressed in quoins, rustication and render on one side, and a low rise development not in character or materials on the other.
The project completed in 2026 providing three self-contained flats, featuring some duplex units and secure cycle storage to the rear of the plot.
